Base Camp

My 5 year-old son, Chase, has been going to the driving range and putting green with me for about 2 years now off and on.

What did I just get myself into? After walking a mere 18 holes with my Dad today at the host course, Urbana CC I asked myself that question. Just 18 holes and I felt the burn.

We are one month out until our 100 HH on June 24. I'm excited. I did a 62 hole training round a few weeks ago carrying clubs. In the next week to ten days I've got another big push planned.

As all of you know the golf industry in the Midwest at this time of year can get very busy!

It looks as if the easy parts are done - I have arranged a date with my club, my donation websites are set up, my first fundraising email is drafted and I have several contact lists put together.

Felt good to walk the course again! Shot an 80 with many missed short birdie putts and an awful back nine. Feeling good now but icing the back. Along way to go before the HHH!!!
